Creating A Functional Home

Do you love being in your home? A few years ago, I realized that my home was a little lackluster, which is why I started focusing on making things right by working with a team of construction contractors. I wanted to create an absolutely beautiful home interior, so I met with a team of professionals to talk about my construction options. They were really incredible to work with, and within a few short months, my home looked brand new. I wanted to create a blog all about creating a functional, gorgeous home so that you can adore your indoors space.

Advantageous and Suggestions For A Bathroom Addition

When you are contemplating updating your home, you have many projects from which to choose. However, adding another bathroom to your house may be one of the best remodeling jobs that you can tackle. In addition to making family life more comfortable, another bathroom can add significant value to your home.

Number of Bathrooms

Experts recommend a certain number of bathrooms depending on the number of bedrooms in your home. Ideally, a three-bedroom home should have a master bathroom and one other bathroom for the other two bedrooms. A four-bedroom home should have separate bathrooms for two of the bedrooms and the other two bedrooms can share a bathroom. Of course, one of these bathrooms will need to allow access for visitors. According to real estate professionals, only one bathroom is not enough if you have more than two bedrooms.

Added Value

Adding a quality bathroom can be an expensive investment, with some additions costing as much as $40,000 or more. Of course, the extra bathroom will be appreciated by your family members, particularly if you've had three or four people sharing one in the past. You should have far fewer arguments and stress, especially in the morning. Also, the new bathroom can significantly raise the value of your home--up to 20% according to the experts.

Fixtures

If you are going to invest in a new full bathroom, you should probably still include both a bathtub and a shower. For a master bath addition, you can go a little upscale with a spa bathtub and a multiple-head shower. Also, consider putting the toilet in its own "closet." That way, you and your partner can both use the bathroom and still maintain privacy. Adding modern fixtures and upper-end vanities can make your new bathroom particularly inviting for you and your family.  Also, a nice bathroom is a great draw for potential buyers.

When you undertake a remodeling project, it should be one with the most potential to make your home more comfortable for you while adding value to the structure itself. Adding another bathroom, particularly if you only have one or two in your home currently, is a wise investment. Your family life will be less stressed, and you can enjoy all the new bathroom conveniences. Also, you will be adding to the value of your home. Consult with a profession contractor, such as Countertops & Laminated Specialties Inc, to get an estimate on a new bathroom.
